I believe in soul mates. When I met mine, I heard a little voice whisper "you are looking into the eyes of your soul mate" and I could feel myself falling into his eyes. Time stood still. Everything else disappeared. His first words weren't romantic - we were both at a conference and he just came up to me and spoke. But what he said was exactly what I had just been thinking about the day. It was bizarre.

I love the idea that there is one perfect person for us - yes there are lots of people we can connect with and fall in love with and be happy with. But when it's a soul mate it's different.
